A&E Conservation was founded with the idea of helping those who have served our country. A.J. Schwind founded this nonprofit organization to create a safe place for veterans, active duty, first responders and those who have served the community in any way.

With three board members, this organization has turned hunting, fishing and nature walking into therapeutic activities.

These therapeutic activities are built around the goal of allowing a person to enjoy themselves and enjoy nature. With the hopes of growing the organization, Schwind hopes to widen the variety of activities offered.

One experience that changed Schwind’s outlook on how impactful this organization is on him and others was fishing with a few veterans, and a bald eagle swooped down in front of them, grabbing a fish.

“I don’t think you can get any more American than that,” said A.J. Schwind, speaking about how amazing it was to see these veterans enjoy this experience

beside him.

Each volunteer who goes out with these participants handles everything from firearms to fishing poles. This ensures the safety of everyone around.

The main challenges that A&E faces are having places to take these participants and funds. Schwind hopes to purchase land one day so that A&E has its place.

“The more donations that we receive, the more we can push forward with our mission,” said Schwind.

A&E is building as many connections as possible to continue growing this organization and benefiting those who have served us all.

A&E’s arms are wide open to anyone who wants to participate in any of the outdoor activities. “Allow us to serve you since you have served us.”

“If you feel like God has blessed you enough to give back to A&E conservation, please do so. We would love any support that you can give,” said Schwind.
