MARTHA (BAKER) SMITH

Martha (Baker) Smith, 82 years of Midway, TX, passed away at her home Monday, May 20, 2024. Martha’s life will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Gaylor Family Cemetery in Midway, TX. Rev. Jim Jackson will officiate.

Martha was born on December 23, 1941 in Madisonville, TX to James “Jim” Baker and Willie Lee (Heath) Baker. She graduated from Madisonville High School and then graduated from The University of Texas.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Linda (Baker) Westmoreland.

She is survived by her children, Bruce Gaylor, Jr. and James “Jim” Gaylor; her grandchildren, Eden, Baker, and Bennett Gaylor; her sisters, Ola (Baker) Stiver and Sara (Baker) Brassell; and numerous other family members and friends.
