A double and a single were the only hits the North Zulch Bulldogs baseball team could muster last Thursday to open up the month of April on a down note as the Bulldogs fell to the Slocum Mustangs 21-4.

A ten run second inning by Slocum shutdown the chances for north Zulch to take control of the game.

Lane Van and Jason Ray were the only two players with hits for the Bulldogs while five other players Riley Mooney, Corbin May, River Gafford, Dallas Drake and Garrett Rhodes all reach via base on balls.

Down 14-1 heading into the fourth the Bulldogs grabbed their final three runs before the Mustangs exploded once more in their half of the fourth snagging seven more scores.

May, Lane Van, and Jason Ray all took turns on the hill. The Bulldogs left six batters on base in the loss.

North Zulch was in action Tuesday night at home against Oakwood, followed by another home matchup against Lovelady.
