DAISY LOU (TAYLOR)

1932-2024

On August 18, 1932 a beautiful baby girl was born to the late Cleocy Taylor and Callie Baker Taylor. Daisy grew up in Austonio, Texas. She met and married Willie G.

Moffett the love of her life on February 1, 1953. She was baptized and gave her life to Jesus, at the Antioch Church of Christ where she served faithfully until her transition.

Daisy worked in the restaurant industry and served many as a home health worker. She then spent her years as a housewife taking care of her family. She loved on, taught, and raised her 13 children and some grandchildren as well. Behind her love for God and her family, she loved to fish.

Daisy found peace sitting on a bucket passing time while catching fish.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Willie G. Moffett; daughter, Hattie M. Patterson; sons, Laffett Sherman and Climmie L. Moffett; grandchildren, Sharon Demontray, and Bryan; great-granddaughter, Hannah; parents, Cleocy and Callie Taylor, Leo (Buddy), Roy, and Joe Taylor Sr. and sisters, Fannie Johnson, Dorothy Jones, and Ethel Sherman.

Daisy leaves to cherish her memories, sons, Willie H. Moffett and Fredrick (Terri) Moffett of Madisonville, TX, Jerry P. Moffett of Dallas, TX, Jimmy (Salfi) Moffett of Houston, TX, and Johnny Moffett of Midway, TX; daughters, Joyce Sauls of Richmond, VA, Joyce (D.C.) Nealey and Kathy (Johnny Sr.) Simpson of Midway, TX, Briggett Roundtree and Brenda Moffett of Madisonville, TX; sister, Ruth Hackett of Houston, TX; and sisterin- law, Neoma Taylor of Houston, TX; 38 grandchildren, 88 great-grandchildren, and 49 greatgreat grandchildren.

Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends will dearly miss her. She had a special place in her heart for her fellow senior sisters at Antioch.

The family appreciates the strengthening, sustaining support, and comfort to the family as we grow in understanding beyond our selfish grief and self-pity. Thank you for your prayers, flowers, and kind words that were spoken, and all acts of kindness and love shown during our time of bereavement period. We thank all who celebrate with us in this home going of our special angel, and her newest existence. Most of all, we are thankful for the grace of God in Jesus Christ.

Pallbearers were Omar Adkins, Rodrick Moffett, De’Cory Patterson, River Woodard, Kenneth Moffett, Johnny Simpson Jr., LaQuentin Moffett, Daniel Nealey, and Lance Bruins.

Honorary Pallbearers were Aaron Moffett, James Moffett, Justin Moffett, Derrick Moffett, Don Nealey, David McGilbra, Charles Carter, Jeremy Roundtree, Jaden Simpson and Adrian Adkins.

Celebration of Life was 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Antioch Church of Christ in Midway. Bro. Howard Watson, Sr. officiated the services. Interment was at Midway Southside Cemetery, FM 247, in Midway.

Final arrangements were entrusted to Emanuel Funeral Homes.
