1937 – 2025

Elven Vaughan Boozer Jr. passed away in Madisonville Texas on April 2 2025. He was 88 years old.

Elven was born in Port Arthur, Texas on January 29, 1937. He graduated from Madisonville high school and Sam Houston University. Elven served in the Navy and taught school on the south Pacific Island of Pohnpei.

Elven taught school until retirement in Pompano Beach, Florida.

He is proceeded in death by his parents Nellie Lane and Elven Boozer Sr. and his brother Laurence Edward Boozer.

Elven is survived by his nephew Ezekiel and his great nieces Jacqueline and Joceline.

A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, August 5, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Lake House in Madisonville, 1215 E. Collard St.
