brought him peace and purpose.

Ken is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Jan Herron; his children Sonja (Will), Kendra, Deana (Chris), and Derek (Cinnamon); eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle whose love for his family never wavered. Though not all of his children and grandchildren were bound to him by blood, he made a deliberate and unwavering commitment to love them as his own each and every day.

Ken will be remembered for his stubbornness, quiet strength, generous spirit, and the deep passion he brought to everything he did. He will also be remembered for his love of the Kansas City Chiefs, Ford trucks, Dairy Queen, Twizzlers, westerns, a good pair of cowboy boots, his Stetson, and most importantly, his wife. Ken’s legacy lives on through his family, his friendships, and the many lives he touched with kindness and integrity.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. Ken’s family welcomes all who wish to attend. Please send an email to kjanarabian@gmail.com if you would like to receive details.

Like the cowboy in Lon Megargee’s famous painting, “The Last Drop from His Stetson,” Ken embodied the spirit of kindness, strength, and quiet generosity. He poured out the last drop from his Stetson not only to care for those around him but also to live a life defined by honor and love. Though his journey has ended, his legacy continues to refresh and inspire all who knew him.
