RUTH ANN (THOMAS) MOORE

1940 – 2025

Ruth Ann (Thomas) Moore, 84 years, 8 months, and 29 days, of the Greer Community in Madison County, TX passed away Saturday, July 26, 2025, in Madisonville. Her life will be celebrated at a later day with family and friends.

Ruth was born on October 28, 1940 in Cambria County, PA to William and Ruth (Allman) Thomas. She was known to her family and friends affectionately as “Toots” or “Rufus” or “Granny” and was married to Eddie Dean Moore, Sr. for fifty-eight years.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, William “Butch” Thomas. She is survived by her husband; her children, Eddie Moore, Jr. and Tonja Chafins; her grandchildren, Cara Moore Davis, Lauren Moore, Alexa Moore, Adam Barker, and Jacob Stallings; her great grandchildren, Kenzie Klesel and Britton Davis; her siblings, Jimmy Thomas, Tommy Thomas, Edna Lawder, and Billie Jo Casey; and numerous other family members.
