KEVIN DON WARD

Kevin Don Ward, age 70, passed away peacefully at his home on March 11, 2026 in Sweeny, Texas surrounded by family. Born in Freeport on October 24, 1955, Kevin was a character cut from a different cloth.

In his day, he loved to dance, drink, and have a good time. Kevin was a bit of a quiet man with a big heart. He approached life like a challenge and lived it for the long haul.

Kevin is survived by his mother, Bonne Jolene Hendrix of Madisonville; three daughters, Susan Lewis, Jennifer Martin, Amanda Wasson and husband Roy all of Sweeny; two grandsons, Reese Wasson of Sweeny and Chandler Wasson of Huntsville; siblings, Mike Ward (Pam), Lynda Zeringue (Bing), Angie Little, Karla Gay DeHart.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wendell Ward; sister, Carolyn Wren Hendrix; and grandmother, Kathryn Vandre.

A service to celebrate his life will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the Civic Center, 514 E Brazos Ave, in West Columbia.
