Louis Addison Curtis I, born November 15,1950 in Galena Park, Texas, entered into eternal rest with our Lord on Sunday, July 4, 2021 in Livingston, Texas.
Louis, a loving father, PawPaw, brother, and coach, among many roles, spent his years providing for his family working primarily as a machinist in the oil field industry. He enjoyed all sports both as a participant and spectator and was an avid fan of his hometown teams, the Houston Astros, Rockets, Oilers, and then Texans. Apart from his time with family and sports his favorite hobby was fishing. His legacy is one of hard work, dedication, and love.
Louis was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lana Lee Curtis; his parents, Charley and Aletha Curtis; his brother, Ronnie Curtis; sisters, Diana Johnson and Angie Corfield; sister-in-law, Lou Ann Brown; granddaughter, Lydia Curtis; and nephew, Brandon Curtis.
He is survived by his sisters, Ellen Casey (Allen), Sheila Ivy (Rodney), Jean Gatwood (Doyle); his children, Shelly (Ted), Louis (Laura), Dusty (Amber), Jeania (Joel), and Drew (Rachel); his beloved grandchildren, Kyra, Luke, Lance, Lindsay, Kylee, Kaiden, Kayla, Trent, Isaiah, Margaret Jane,Titus, Thaddeus, Josiah, and Baby Curtis, and many beloved cousins, nephews, nieces, family and friends.
Funeral services for Louis were held 3 p.m., Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Interment followed in Greer Cemetery.
Madisonville Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
