JIMMY PHILLIPS
Jimmy Phillips, 67, passed away August 25, 2021 in Madisonville, Texas following an extended illness. He was born March 24, 1954 in Madisonville, Texas to Luther Jim & Lillie Mae (Franklin) Phillips. Jimmy lived most of his life in Leon, Madison and surrounding counties. He was a lifelong cowboy and enjoyed Ranch Rodeos. Jimmy also liked to hog hunt, shoe horses and take his grandchildren to TYRRA Rodeos. He had a strong dislike of water because he never learned to swim. Jimmy was a member of Crossroads Cowboy Church in Madisonville.
Jimmy was preceded in death by both of his parents; sister-in law, Paula Phillips and brother-in-law, Billy Belk. He is survived by wife, Pam (Hines) Phillips of Normangee; children, Jimmy Lynn Phillips (Monika) of Normangee, Brent Lee Martin (Tara) of Normangee, Crystal Anne Spikes (Kenton) of Normangee, Tracy Lynn Andrews of Madisonville and Clay Brandon Andrews (Amanda) of Normangee; brother, Emanuel Lloyd Phillips of Marlow, Oklahoma and sister, Carmen Jean Phillips Belk of Waco. Jimmy is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Jimmy were held 10 a.m., Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Tuffy Loftin and Tye Coleman officiated the service. Interment followed in Willowhole Cemetery near North Zulch.
Arrangements were under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
