Billie Culp, 89, of Madisonville, Texas, passed away January 5, 2021 at his home in Madisonville. Funeral services were held 4 P.M., Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas with Jon Stevens officiating. Interment followed in High Prairie Cemetery.

Billie Hugh Culp was born April 21, 1931 in Stanton, Texas to parents, Hugh Benjamin & Zeda Guyton Moore. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Billie was self employed as a carpenter. He and his wife, Patricia, raised their family in Houston. In 1988, they moved to Madisonville where Billie enjoyed fishing and building furniture. He was a devoted member and deacon at North Madison Church of Christ.

Billie was preceded in death by both of his parents; wife, Patricia Anne (Maguire) Culp; brothers, Houston Culp, Howard Culp, Obie “Buck” Culp, Vernon Culp and Joe Culp and sister, Dorothy Snapka.

Surviving family members include sons, William Hugh “Bill” Culp of Madisonville, Stephen Howard Culp (girlfriend, Lori Bisenburg) of Madisonville and Jeffery Scott Culp of Houston; daughter, Catherine Marie Culp of Madisonville; special friend, Johnette Mathews; nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers: Harley Culp, Ronnie Caldwell, Blake Caldwell, Weston Culp, Anthony Springer, Mark Springer, Brandon Culp, Justin Culp.
