Dakota Carl Blakley, 31 years, 8 months and 29 days, of Madisonville, TX passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026, in Marathon, FL. Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Powers Chapel Cemetery in Rosebud, TX. There will be a visitation beginning at 11 a.m. prior to the graveside service at Day Funeral Home.

Dakota was born on June 13, 1994, in Huntsville, TX to Carl Blakley Jr. and Shanna (Dennis) Clark. He was an adventurist at heart and embraced life with a fearless spirit. Dakota enjoyed fishing, hiking and the great outdoors. His vibrant spirit and determination inspired everyone who knew him. Dakota will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his love, his strength, his kindness, and his passion for chasing his dreams.

Dakota was preceded in death by his grandparents, Papa Billy Dennis, Carl Blakley, Sr., and Cynthia Blakley; and his uncle Paul Dennis.

Dakota is survived by his mother, Shanna Clark (Johnathan); his father, Carl Blakley, Jr. (Della); his brothers, Corey Dennis and Jonathan Broadaway; his sister, Lakota Blakley; his grandmother, Jan Dennis (Ed); his aunt and uncle, Brandy and Paul Blakley; his cousins, Montana Blakley, Tesa Radle, Rachael Loa, and Rani Welch; and many other family members and friends.
