Homegoing services for Mrs. Dorothy Lee Tyler, age 91 of Madisonville, Texas, will be held 1 P.M., Friday, December 30, 2022 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.

Interment will follow in West End Cemetery, Madisonville, Texas.

A brief visitation will take place prior to the service from 12 Noon to 1 P.M. at the funeral home.

Active Pallbearers: Victor Moore, Jr., Patrick Gipson, Marcus Tyler, Jr., Curley Tyler, Jr., E.J. Tyler, George Dunn, Jr., Curtis Tyler, Christopher Moore Honorary Pallbearers: Kendrick Tyler, Martin Berry, Keandre Dunn, Jalen Jordan, Leroy Morning, Kevin Tyler Dorothy Lee Tyler was the 12th child born on October 15, 1931, to the late Hilliard and Idoma Ware-Morning in Lovelady, Texas.

She confessed her belief in Christ and was baptized at an early age. Dorothy attended Center Grove public school.

She was employed by Madisonville Nursing Home for more than 30 years before she retired and received numerous awards for her exemplary performance.

On December 22, 2022, Dorothy was called home to rest from this earthly world.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hilliard and Idoma Ware-Morning; husband, Ell Tyler III; son, Curley Tyler Sr.; daughter, Doris Tyler-Moore; grandson, Johnny E.

Gipson Jr.; great grandson, Charles E. Dunn; 6 sisters, Fronzie Davis, Alice Davis-Tyler, Hattie Crawford, Viola Davis- Tyler, Myra Davis, and Robelean Williams; 6 brothers, Pete Davis, Willie Davis, J.D. Davis, Josh Morning, and Hilliard Morning Jr.

Memories of joyous occasions will be cherished by her three daughters, Flora (George) Dunn, Jewel (Johnny) Gipson, Mildred Jordan; two sons, Elijah Tyler, Marcus (Joyce) Tyler, all of Madisonville; 23 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, 44 greatgreat grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dorothy is also survived by her beloved nephew, Nathan Tyler, who she viewed and loved as a brother.
