Douglas Standley “Stan” Baugh; 66 years of Madisonville passed away on Sunday; October 30, 2022 in Madisonville. Stan’s life will be celebrated at 2PM on Friday; November 4, 2022 at Day Funeral Home Chapel in Madisonville with Rev. Jim Jackson officiating. There will be a visitation prior to the service beginning at 1PM. A private family burial will be held later at Madisonville Cemetery.

Stan was born on September 19, 1956 in Madisonville to Vernon G. and Mary Nell (Standley) Baugh. Stan grew up in Madisonville where he had many friends and enjoyed being a member of The Madisonville High School golf team. He graduated from Madisonville High School in 1975 and attended Sam Houston State University from 1975 – 1978. In 1979, Stan attended the University of Tennessee at Martin where he was a member of The National Rodeo Team and participated in the Collegiate National Finals Rodeo that same year in Bozeman, Montana. After returning to Houston, Stan graduated from The University of Houston in 1987 with a degree in Petroleum Land Management. Stan was a valued and respected employee of Stewart Title Company in Houston for thirty-nine years and was well known as one of the most respected commercial title examiners in the Houston area. While with Stewart Title, he was an active member of their youth mentoring program.

Stan was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his sister, Belynda Baugh Wilson and her husband, Eddie Wilson of Crockett; his niece, Sydney Shipp of Crockett; his aunt, Jo Lewis of Pasadena; his aunt Jo Ann Parker and her husband Earl Parker of Madisonville; his aunt, Sharron Standley of Austin; and many beloved cousins and friends.
