Neely Ferrell (Sparks) Cleere, 93, of Midway, TX, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at her home. A celebration of Ferrell’s life is scheduled for 12:30 pm on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Day Funeral Home Chapel in Madisonville, TX, followed by the burial at Madisonville Cemetery. James Hamilton will officiate and be assisted by Crystal Adams. There will be a visitation prior to the service beginning at 12 pm. Ferrell was born on April 23, 1929 in Marquez, TX, to Leon and Ina (Neely) Sparks. She earned her degree in interior design, spent many years designing and decorating in Houston, and in retirement, she and her husband Jim, moved to their ranch in Midway, TX. There she spent many years with the love of her life surrounded by those she dearly loved. She was the greatest “Mammow” and the best cheerleader, supporter, encourager, and Christian that her grandchildren and great grandchildren could ask for.

Ferrell was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of seventy-one years, James R. Cleere. She is survived by her daughter, Celia Hamilton and her husband Max; her grandchildren James Hamilton and wife Kristen, Crystal Adams and husband Jason, Mary Katherine Nye and husband Roger, and her great grandchildren, Ashlyn Silva and husband Zach, Kolby Adams, Grayson Nye, Kinzley Nye, and Madelyn Nye.

Serving as pallbearers are Mike Wortman, Jason Adams, Roger Nye, Tom Herrmann, Craig Rogers, and James Durst. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Gary Weathers, Al Ashmore, Kolby Adams, and Grayson Nye.
