FRANCIS CHARLES “SONNY” BARKER, JR.

1936 – 2025

Francis Charles “Sonny” Barker, Jr, 88 years, 8 months and 8 days, of Leona, TX passed away Friday, March 28, 2025 in Centerville, TX.

“Sonny,” as he was known to his family and friends, was born on July 20, 1936 in Houston, TX to Francis Charles Barker, Sr and Geraldine Belle (Rymal) Barker. He graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1954 and then attended Alvin Community College. Sonny was a long-time employee of Sears.

Sonny is survived by his wife of sixty-eight years, Rafael (Parker) “Riki” Barker.

Cremation services are under the direction of Day Funeral Home.
