IDA JEAN (DONAHO) SUMMERS 1946 – 2023

Ida Jean (Donaho) Summers; 77 years, 6 months, 23 days; of North Zulch, TX; passed away on Wednesday; August 30, 2023 in Bryan, TX.

Jean’s life was celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Willowhole Chapel in North Zulch, TX. Bro.

Dale Evans officiated.

There will be a family burial at a later date at Willowhole Cemetery.

Jean, as she was known to her family and friends, was born on February 7, 1946 in Bryan, TX to Charlie Henry and Ida Blanche (King) Donaho.

She attended school in North Zulch and earned her GED at forty-eight years of age. She was retired from The Brazos Sheriff’s Department where she received many awards for her dedicated service, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family who she loved with all her heart.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Steve Summers.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Riley (John); her grandchildren, Brandy Locke (JW) and Steve Story (Taylor); her great grandchildren, Ian, Spencer, Jack, Beau, and Gavin; and numerous other family members.
