Funeral services for Jerry Sigford, 77, were held 2 P.M., Monday, December 14, 2020 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. Bro. Bo Gunnels and Bro. Jim Bob Gunnels officiated the service. Interment followed in New Salem Cemetery in the Centerview Community of Leon County, Texas.

Jerry Tim Sigford, Sr. was born in Madisonville, Texas to Howard Tim and Veda Ruth (Ferguson) Sigford. He was a lifelong resident of Leon County and worked as a rancher the majority of his life. In his younger years, Jerry enjoyed hunting and watching his favorite baseball team, the L.A. Dodgers. He was a founding member of Victory Baptist Church, hosting the first service in his own living room back in the 1970’s. Jerry was a gospel singer and traveled many miles for many years to sing in gospel meetings. He enjoyed his travels and also loved to talk about politics. Jerry had a soft spot for young children, especially babies, and quickly welcomed every one of his new step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren into his life and heart. Jerry especially loved the Lord and held a vast knowledge of the Bible. He passed away December 10, 2020 in Waco, Texas. Jerry was preceded in death by both of his parents; wives, Ruth & Sylvia; brother, Ronnie Sigford and step-son, Clint Pyle.

Surviving family members include wife, Molly Sigford of Buffalo; children, Jimmy (Lorrie) Sigford of Buffalo, Randy (Angie) Sigford of Jewett, Jeffery Scott Sigford of Georgia, Trey Reyes (Jamie) of Centerville, Barbie (Joshua) Zureov of Rosenberg, Christy (David) Flores of Rosenberg, Marty (Jill) Gibson, Randy (Lisa) Gibson, Lana (Kevin) Rawley and Tony (Debra) Pyle; brother, John J. (Kathy) Sigford of Centerville; sister, Barbara Ann (Wallace “Tooter”) Dorman of Oakwood; grandchildren, Jerry Tim “J.T.” (Shae) Sigford and Morgan (Jacob) Hutchinson; great-grandchildren, John Amos Hutchinson and Josie Mae Sigford and numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family members who were all special to Jerry.

Arrangements were under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
