2002-2024

Kyle, age 21, gained his angel wings on April 14, 2024. To know Kyle, was to love him immensely, he was truly the light in all of our worlds.

Kyle loved to be outdoors, fishing, kayaking, camping….. and simply being surrounded by family was his greatest joy.

Kyle fought bravely through 6 open heart surgeries throughout his life. His last one being a Heart Transplant on January 16, 2023. His family was deeply grateful to have been given an extra year and 3 months with him on this earth, to love him, to hold him and let him know how much he meant to them.

Kyle was truly the most remarkable and extraordinary young man. A true angel walking among us. You would never see him with anything but a big smile on his face and open arms for a hug. The most selfless, and genuine soul.

Kyle was born in Palestine, TX and graduated from Neches High School in 2021, shortly after graduating he moved to New York to be with his sister and start his adult life. He worked in Watertown, NY for American Airlines. Following his move back to Texas, he worked for ProSecurity just months after his heart transplant. His resilience and drive were immeasurable.

Kyle’s beautiful life will forever be cherished by his family, a hero to us all. He leaves behind so many that love him.

A loving and devoted son to Jennifer & John Blakely, Jody & Aryn Shaver. The best brother in the world to his siblings: Kailyn & Rico Harris, Jacob and Emma Blakely, Keatin Gibbons, and Cole Shaver. A fiercely loving Uncle KyKy to his nieces Mayleigh, Ellie, and his nephew Jackson. The sweetest grandson to Dale and Carolyn Lucas, and Jim and Shirley Shaver; and great-grandson of Shirley Luce.

Kyle also leaves behind a tremendous number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends whose lives he touched with his infectious smile and heart of pure gold.

“What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.” – Helen Keller A celebration of Kyle’s Life was held at Union Chapel Baptist Church in Grapeland, TX Thursday, April 18, 2024 for those that knew and loved him.
