LINDA LEE (PRESLEY) FOLSOM

Funeral services for Linda Folsom, age 81, were held 1 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2022 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas with Rev. Glenn Connor, pastor of Elwood Baptist Church, officiating. Linda was laid to rest in Jozye Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Brady Drennan, Daniel Haggans, Michael Presley, Brandon Presley, Barry Folsom, Greg Presley

Linda Lee (Presley) Folsom was born July 15, 1940 in Madisonville, Texas to William Carey “Bill” & Nellie Marie (Strand) Presley. She was raised in Madisonville and graduated from Madisonville High School as the Valedictorian of her high school class. She later graduated in 1989 as Valedictorian of her college class with a Bachelor’s Degree. Linda married Jerry Don Folsom in 1958 and they moved to Houston in 1959, where they raised their children. After raising her children, she went to work as a research analyst for Conoco. After retirement, they moved to the Normangee area, where they enjoyed a country lifestyle. Linda passed away April 10, 2022 at her home.

Linda was kind, generous and devoted to her family and friends. She loved all animals and had many beloved dogs and cats throughout the years. She was an avid bowler and traveled extensively to participate in tournaments. She loved to gamble and never met a slot machine she did not want to defeat. She was as competitive as she was fun. Linda was preceded in death by both of her parents; two brothers, Bill and Carey Presley.

Surviving family members include beloved husband, Jerry Don Folsom of Normangee; son Barry Folsom and wife Robin Folsom; daughter Leslie Folsom and wife Robin Osborn; brother Mike Presley and wife Linda Presley; two grandchildren Ashley Folsom and Allyson Folsom; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas was in charge of arrangements.
