MARY BETH EDMUNDS

Mary Beth Edmunds, age 82, of Madisonville, Texas passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at her home in Madisonville.

Mary was born October 6, 1939 to James Ancil & Lucy (Laird) Gafford in Madison County, Texas. She lived her entire life in Madison County where she retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Food Service Department. Mary spent her retired years talking on the phone and listening to the scanner for important events taking place in the county. She enjoyed coffee at the Lakeside Restaurant and was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother.

Mary will forever be remembered by son, Craig Edmunds of Madisonville; grandsons, Seth Lynn Edmunds (fiance, Destanie Birkertt) of Madisonville and Luke Jeremiah Edmunds of Madisonville; sister, Betty Jean King of Madisonville and great-grandchildren, Koral Bond and Bryliee Edmunds.

Mary was preceded in death by both of her parents; an infant brother and sister Maudine Mason.

A memorial service honoring Mary’s life will be held 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
