Nancy Jean May was born in Austin, Texas March 12, 1930. She lived most of her life in Madison County.

She attended school in North Zulch. She married Jack L. May on November 6, 1947. They traveled all over the United States with Jack’s pipeline career. They made their home in North Zulch and lived on the same corner for 67 years.

To them were born four children:

Lavonda Panzer (Bill) from Pasadena, Tx.

Julie Simmons (Billy) from North Zulch

Jack Aaron May from North Zulch

Lucinda (Cindy) McDaniel (Greg) from North Zulch

She has six grandchildren:

Larinda Messick of Pasadena, Tx.

Patty Ussery (Kevin) of Alvin, Tx.

Billy Panzer (Jolene) of Dayton, Tx.

Thena Simmons Morris (Matt) of Kurten, Tx.

Joshua Jordan (Lizzi) of Normangee, Tx.

Andrea Johnson (Robert) of North Zulch

Jean had nine great grand-children, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Veta Blagrave; her husband, Jack; daughter-in-law, Brenda May; and grandson, Justin May.

The family would like to thank all of those that provided care for their mother: The ladies of Visiting Angels, as well as Sue Homer, Etta Rush, Martha Housley. We would also like to thank the nurses and doctors of Hospice Brazos Valley.
