Robert Earl Nealey, a beloved son, husband, father, brother, neighbor, church member, and friend passed away on February 15, 2022. Services celebrating his life were held at Tanyard United Methodist Church, Midway, Texas, Pastor Cecil McDowell officiating, on February 26, 2022, with the burial following at Tanyard Cemetery, Midway Texas.

Robert was born on October 22, 1940 in Midway, Texas. He was one of four children born to Earl Wesley Nealey and Myra Faye (Smith) Nealey, including a brother, Joe Nealey, who preceded him in death, a sister, Maenola (Nealey) Newsome, who preceded him in death, and a sister, Ruby Jewell (Nealey) Simpson. Robert was preceded in death by his parents.

Robert accepted Christ at an early age and united with Tanyard United Methodist Church, where he was a faithful member having served as Lay Servant, Treasurer, Special Programs Coordinator, member of the Board of Trustees, Pastor Parish Committee, Homecoming Committee, and the United Methodist Men. He graduated from Jack Yates High School in Houston, Texas.

Robert united in marriage with Oceola (Thomas) Nealey, who preceded him in death. To this union were born two sons, Robert Earl Nealey Jr. and Christopher Charles Nealey, and one daughter, Rosalyn (Nealey) McNeal.

Robert began his career as an entrepre neur in Houston, Texas. He later went to work for Louis Delhomme Marine, Inc. at their locations in Houston, Texas and Lewisville, Texas, and retired from there after thirty-five years of service.

He leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his loving memory his partner of fifty years, Juanita Lexington Nealey, sister, Ruby Jewell (Nealey) Simpson, daughter, Rosalyn (Nealey) McNeal, sons, Robert Earl Nealey, Jr. and Christopher Charles Nealey, and twelve grandchildren.

Robert enjoyed life and expressed that sentiment in everything that he said and did.
