A homegoing service for Rodrick Deshon Evans was held 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023, at Lakeview Baptist Church, Madisonville, Texas. Interment followed in West End Cemetery.

Rodrick Deshon Evans was born on Sunday, Nov. 11, 1990 to Amanda Walker and the late Donnie Smith. He attended schools at Madisonville Independent School District. At an early age, he became a member of Pool Chapel Baptist Church. During his teenage years, Rodrick started attending Lakeview Missionary Church. Rodrick went on to work at McDonalds, after which he started work in the oilfield for Dos Oilfield Services, L.L.C.

Rodrick was proceeded in death by his dad, Donnie Smith; grandparents, Eugene and Mae Smith; grandmother, Mary L. Manning; his niece, Riley Manning; and his special aunt, Valerie Polk.

Rodrick leaves to cherish his memories his mom, Amanda Walker; his step-dad, Lawerence Walker, Jr.; his daughter, My’Riah Woodard; his son, Khailan Evans; his brothers, Steven Manning, Debordrick Manning (Stephanie), Eddie Jones, Jacorey Gilbert (Chasity), and Eddie Manning; his special brothers, Debrandon Betts, Dakeldrick Washington, and Donavon Porter; his special sisters, Jacquelyn Manning, Sharda Manning, Tynequia Tyler, Janet’ Manning, Sterliniquia Turner, Nikia Robinson, and Lee Ann Manning; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also leaves behind, the Smith, Lewis, Manning, Byrd, and Johnson families.

Active Pallbearers: Debrandon Betts, Dedrick Whaley, Dakeldrick Washington, Justin Whaley, Donavon Porter, Stacy McCloud, Willie Taylor, Jr., Brandon Gilbert, Jacorey Gilbert, Kendrick Betts.
