Vincent Travelle Downing was born on December 6, 1975 to the parents of Dwight Andrew Downing and Lula Downing. He attended Madison High School in Houston, Texas. He accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Pastor Frank Fanniel, Sr. and was baptized. Vincent was active in the church. He enjoyed Sunday School, Sunshine Band, Purity Class and YPWW singing in the youth choir. He loved to recite poems, he loved drama and loved to be in plays and other activities of the church. Later, Vincent moved to Santa Rosa, California and resided there until his passing. Surely he will be missed.

Preceding Vincent in death were his grandparents, Jimmy and Josie Evans and George and Naomi Downing. He leaves to cherish his memory, beloved mother, Evangelist Lula Madison of Houston; father, Dwight Downing of Atchison, KS; only son, Antonio Downing of Santa Rosa, CA; special friend, Debbie Sedeno and her daughter, Stephanie of Santa Rosa, CA; three sisters, twin, Veronica Green (Eric) of Houston, Sheila Washington of Kansas and Allison

Williams of Louisiana and two brothers, Dwight, Jr and Phillip Downing. Vincent also leaves a godmother, Jewel Polk of San Antonio; twelve aunts, five uncles, seven nieces and four nephews, as well as numerous cousins and a host of relatives and friends.

Homegoing services for Vincent were held 12 noon, Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Interment followed in Spiller Cemetery in rural Leon County, Texas.

Pallbearers: Ray Glover, Troy Nellums, Willie Green, Floyd Nellums, Jr., Javawski Lane, Marquis Lane.

Arrangements were entrusted to Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
