She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Herbert Nelson Hees, Jr.

She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Hees (Jennifer) and Douglas Hees (Annette); her 4 grandchildren; and her siblings, Loise Crow, Ruby Davis, Diane Harris, and Bobby Joe Ferguson.
