1947 – 2023 Pamela Harris passed away at 76 years of age at her daughter’s home in Pearland on Dec. 6, 2023. Pamela was born in Breckinridge on May 17, 1947 to Percy Roberts and O’Coneta Lowe Roberts.

1940 – 2023 Morris Heath “Pete” Smith, 83 of Midway, TX, passed away at his home on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023. Visitation was from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023, at Day Funeral Home in Madisonville, TX. Pete’s life was celebrated 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023, at Day Funeral Home with the burial to follow at Midway City Cemetery. Bros. Brad Brock and Winston Spencer officiated.

On Nov. 20, 2023, Lisa Carol Laird Osborne slipped the chains of her earthly toils and went Home, to be with her many friends and family, and rejoice forever in the presence of her Lord and Savior. She passed away so peacefully after a short, but brave and gracious, battle with cancer with her husband, Clark, and loving caregiver, Sabrina, at her side.

1938 – 2023 Our beloved matriarch of the family, Joyce Wiecker Norwood, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 15, 2023.

Lewis “Ann” (Philio) Sandles was born on Nov. 23, 1945, in Grimes County to the late Lewis Philio and Clara Bell Johnson-Philio. God called her to eternal rest on Nov. 19, 2023.

Ola Franklin was born Oct. 23, 1948 to loving parents, Percy Lee Smith and Nita Marie Holiday Robinson (both deceased), in Houston, Texas. Ola received the Lord at an early age and was an active member in her church and community.

1939 – 2023 Evelyn Jane (Ferguson) Stephens, 84 years, a resident of Houston, Texas, passed away Monday, Nov. 13, 2023, at her home. Evelyn’s life was celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 20, 2023, at Day Funeral Home in Madisonville with Pastor Duane Hamilton officiating.

1935 – 2023 Jean E. Kirby, a beloved mother, grandmother, and member of the Madisonville community, passed away peacefully on Nov. 9, 2023, in Madisonville.
