Planning and Zoning vacancy

The City of Madisonville is seeking an applicant to serve on the Planning and Zoning Commission. The Planning and Zoning Commission is an advisory board consisting of five members, serving a 4-year term, who are responsible for making recommendations to the City Council regarding planning and zoning matters.
Texas A&M’s Beef 101

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Texas A&M University Science Faculty are presenting the 2023 Beef 101 program on Dec. 6 and 8 in College Station. This is a three-day intensive hands-on program designed for anyone who has an interest in expanding their knowledge of the total beef industry. This is the foremost educational experience for basic information about the beef industry provided anywhere in the US. A maximum of 40 participants per session are accepted to allow for maximum hands-on participation and interaction with faculty, staff and graduate student instructors.

North Zulch Royalty

North Zulch Bulldog Homecoming King River Gafford and Queen Ayesha Sunny were crowned Friday, Nov. 17, during the homecoming game. The Bulldogs defeated the International Leadership of Texas Aggieland Eagles, 25-48.
The 2023 Tiny Mr. & Miss North Zulch JT Andrus and Remi Rossow were crowned Thursday, Nov. 16. Tiny Mr & Miss North Zulch is hosted by North Zulch Ex-Students Association.

MCISD earns State’s Highest Fiscal Accountability Rating

Madisonville Consolidated Independent School District officials announced that the district received a rating of “Superior Achievement” under Texas’ School FIRST financial accountability rating system. The “Superior Achievement” rating is the state’s highest, demonstrating the quality of Madisonville CISD’s financial management and reporting system.
