Madisonville CISD Veterans Day Program

MCISD would like to invite the public to attend their annual Veterans Day program at Madisonville High School on November 12. The program will begin at 9:30 a.m. on the football field. Following the program, Veterans are invited to attend a luncheon in the Ag Building at 11 a.m. Veterans who plan to attend the luncheon are asked to arrive at Mustang Stadium by 9 a.m. so officials can register their attendance and add their name to the program. *If the weather is undesirable, the program will be held in the competition gym*

Spooky Baseball

Cap: North Zulch High School and Junior High students participated in a new tradition for the school under new head baseball coach Steve Villani: which consisted of players dressing up in their Halloween costumes and playing a game of baseball on the school’s field. MARGARET “DORRIS” CANNON

Margaret ”Dorris” Cannon, 90, was born to Harry Allen Wilkins and Velma M. (Gunn) Wilkins on November 8, 1930, in Tule River, California. Dorris lived her whole life in Madisonville, Texas. For thirty-two years, she was employed at the Sheriff’s Office in Madison County as a dispatcher, jailer and record clerk. Dorris was a member of Assembly of God Church in Madisonville and had a passion for antiquing and collecting beanie babies.

Funeral services for Mr. Alvin Cronin, 102, of Bedias, Texas were held 11 a.m., Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Robert Joseph Crowder officiated the service and interment followed in Bedias Baptist Cemetery.
