Ardith Rogers was born on October 7, 1942 in Sarcoxie, Missouri to William Floyd Smith and Mary Elizabeth Fern Hutchens. Her biological father and mother were divorced when she was very young, and her mother married her “Daddy,” Glen Jasper Pace.

Spring Fish Fry

St. Thomas More Catholic Church will hold its Spring Fish Fry on Saturday, April 30, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. or until all the food is gone at the Community Center at Hilltop Lakes. Delicious fried fish with all the trimmings, $15 for adults and $5 for children. The event also includes a silent auction, raffle with cash prizes, crafts and delicious desserts.

A few people have asked that we stop bringing to your attention the lack of progress reports regarding the murder of our neighbor, Anthony De’Milo Williams, Jr., last October. But now, at six months later, this seems to be much too long of a time to receive a ballistics report, and to share that this case is being diligently pursued, what do you think?

RONALD EDWARD WALTHER

Ronald Edward Walther, 83, of Madisonville, Texas passed away on April 20, 2022 in Madisonville, Texas. Ronald was born to Carl Fredrick Walther and Evelyn Katherine (Creppon) Walther on November 10, 1938, in Houston, Texas. Ronald married the love of his life, Betty Kay, on October 31, 1958. Ronald loved his family and any time he was able to spend with them. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyezd going to his lake house at Lake Limestone, where many family gatherings were held. Ronald and his wife also enjoyed their time together traveling on cruise ships.
