Madisonville Christian Fellowship

Body
Easter is the glorious truth of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us clearly that Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the world. He paid a debt that He did not owe because we owed a debt that we could not pay. Jesus died a substitutionary death on the cross. He took my place and your place, and He took God’s wrath on the cross. God is a Holy and just God and He will punish all sin. Jesus came to redeem sinners and save sinners. On Friday the Lord was crucified and died. He was buried in a borrowed tomb and on the third day He rose triumphantly, victoriously, and gloriously from the grave. The tomb on earth is empty, but the throne in heaven is occupied.
