CAROLE BENNETT WESTMORELAND MARTIN

Carole Bennett Westmoreland Martin was born to Percy and Elsie Westmoreland in Galveston, on Christmas Eve 1945. She grew up in Normangee and graduated high school in 1963. After high school, she went to Sam Houston State University and majored in education. She met the love of her life in 1965 and they married in 1967. She taught school in Houston while Ken finished pharmacy school and then they moved to Gainesville, Texas. Ken was drafted for service in the Vietnam War and Carole, pregnant at the time, moved back to Normangee. When Ken finished his Army service, they moved into the house where she lived for the rest of her life. She began teaching at Normangee in 1980, where she taught for thirty-five years.

Our Beloved Husband and dad, Maurice Lee Belizare (67), was peacefully called home to glory on December 15, 2021, with his wife, Hope by his side. Maurice was born March 10, 1954, in Houston, Tx. He was adopted and raised in a loving Christian home by Johnny and Lillian Wilson in Bedia, Tx. He attended Marian Anderson School in Madisonville, Tx.

Annual Christmas Meeting of the Madison County Retired Teachers

At First Baptist Church in Madisonville, Texas, the Madison County Retired Teachers Personnel of District VI held their annual Christmas meeting at noon at the Madisonville First Baptist Church on Thursday, December 1. According to Lorraine Coleman, one of the organization's co-presidents, was founded in 1972, and at the event were teachers of other counties surrounding Madison County; it was also stated that the combined years of teaching of all the teachers at the event were 1,948.
