If you’ve only been in Madison County for forty years, some facts below may be news to you. If you’ve been here longer, it will be a walk down memory lane that I hope you enjoy it.
Colorado State University researchers are calling this year’s hurricane season forecast “the most aggressive” ever, the Texas Standard reported. They say there is a 54% chance a hurricane will strike the Texas coast, and a 25% chance it will be major.
In May, the 20th Texas Silver-Haired Legislature will meet in Austin to discuss and debate proposed Resolutions aimed at addressing issues unique to older Texans - and by extension all citizens. The Madisonville Lady Mustangs softball team has faced a series of difficult games starting off with a game against the Rusk Lady Eagles. Despite a strong offensive effort, defensive miscues, and strong pitching from Rusk proved too much to overcome in a 12-5 loss.
The Madisonville Mustangs varsity baseball team had a difficult week during the week of April 10 and April 12, dropping games to the Hudson Hornets and Bullard Panthers. On Wednesday, April 10, the Mustangs hosted the Hornets, who struck first in the top of the 1st inning, as Cutter Warren homered and Diesel Gonzales and Jake Davis each singled to take a quick 3-0 lead.
