The Madison County Commissioners Court met Tuesday, Sept. 10, tackling a packed agenda that included adopting the county budget, setting tax rates, and addressing various funding requests.
North Zulch Independent School District approved its 2024-25 budget at a special board meeting Monday night, increasing classroom spending while reducing costs in other areas. The district will raise per-pupil instruction spending from $8,708 to $9,477, an increase of 8.8%.
The Madisonville City Council met Monday, September 9, to discuss a packed agenda that included budget approval, tax rates, and heated debates over park facilities and city-county agreements.
