The Madisonville Consolidated Independent School District board heard that sweeping changes to state testing won’t take effect until the 2027-28 school year, but the renamed assessment program will triple the number of tests students take.

DENTON — Texas Woman’s University’s Center for Women Entrepreneurs will award $50,000 in grants to women- owned businesses. The center will give 10 grants of $5,000 each through its StartHER program, now in its seventh year.
