AUSTIN — Texas Parks and Wildlife Department has launched Tip411, a new text, app and online system that allows people to report fishing, wildlife and boating violations anonymously through their Operation Game Thief program.

Children played pumpkin ring toss and other games during the North Zulch PTO Fall Festival Oct. 31 at North Zulch Elementary School. The event featured carnival games, food, a silent auction and a costume contest. Admission was free with carnival game tickets sold for $1 each. Proceeds from the festival support teachers, students and scholarships.

BEDIAS — The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating a 15-year-old girl missing since Saturday night in the Bedias area. Emma George was last seen about 8 p.m.
