Juneteenth, NAACP Plan Wax Museum Event

The Madison County Juneteenth Organization and the local NAACP chapter will present a live wax museum on Sunday, Feb. 23, at the Madisonville Juneteenth Center; the event will start at 4 p.m. at 1101 Seventh St. in Madisonville.
Region 6 Board Seeks Madison County Candidates

Region 6 Education Service Center seeks candidates from Madison County and other counties for one of two board positions opening this spring. The Place 4 seat represents Madison, Houston, and Leon continues on the seven-member board that oversees educational services for school districts across 15 southwest Texas Counties.
