On Friday, June 16th, Midway kicked off its Summer Reading program with 20 kids from Midway showing up to help get things going! There were books given to all the kids, cookie decorating, story time and some crafting as well. In the wake of a powerful storm that struck Madisonville on Wednesday, June 21, the community is rallying to overcome the widespread devastation left behind. The storm, characterized by fierce winds, caused extensive damage, including downed trees along Texas Highway 21 and severe destruction in various neighborhoods.

Madison County residents again celebrated Juneteenth this year. Everything seemed bigger, happier, and hotter.

The Midway Volunteer Fire Department's highly anticipated annual fish fry and fireworks event once again brought the community together for fun and festivities. This beloved tradition, a staple for over a decade, drew in residents on Saturday, June 24.
