Entergy, one of the biggest electric companies in the U.S, sent out representatives to speak on behalf of Entergy Texas to county and city officials on Monday, January 23; since then, they have wanted to address those concerns in the meeting with the public.

It’s still Black History month. It matters to me. I have been blessed to work with some of the finest Blacks, including Narvis Spencer, Clara and Floyd Sandles, Blanche Webber, Lem Johnson, Pauline Gooden, Essia Sandles, Willie Glen Nellums, James Byrd, Lural and Wyvonne McCloud, Nardell Burns, Melvin Curtis, S.L. Gilbert, Jesse Boyd Huey, Bill House, andmore. Thosearejust some of my favorites that have passed on to their rewards. If any of those were here to speak now, I feel sure they could do better than I can in talking about problems they encountered while being schooled in Madison County years ago.
