Homemade quilt up for grabs at county museum

A star-pattern quilt hand-stitched by Georgia Taylor hangs on display at the Madison County Museum, where it anchors a raffle running through Oct. 21. Taylor, a Madison County resident, stitched the quilt by hand. Tickets cost $1 each or six for $5, according to the museum. Sales run through 11 a.m. Oct. 21. The museum is at 201 N. Madison and is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. Tickets are available at the museum and from others helping with the sale.

The Madisonville company paid $5,999 for Allen and $4,250 for Campbell, according to checks dated May 15 and signed by company President Victor Liang.
