William “Thomas” Adams, 90, of Madisonville, Texas passed away peacefully on Feb. 21, 2024 in Madisonville, Texas. He was born to William D. and Annie Lou (Coleman) Adams on Nov. 26, 1933 in Madisonville, Texas.

Thomas was a homebody; he lived a very simple life and remained devoted to Mount Tabor Church of Christ for thirty-two years.

Thomas was preceded in death by both of his parents and sisters, Dorothy Starnes and Helen Adams.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jo Ann Adams of Madisonville, Texas; daughters, Beverly Newton (Jay) of Madisonville, Texas and Patty Walther (Greg) of Madisonville, Texas; grandchildren, Josh Newton of Madisonville, Texas, Nicole Warren of Madisonville, Texas, Callie Walther of Madisonville, Texas, and Carl Walther of Madisonville, Texas; great-grandchildren, Zoee Newton, Zane Newton, Leslie Warren, Jaylynn Warren, Cooper Cook, and Jaxton Walther; sister, Mary Julia Adams of Madisonville, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

A funeral service for Thomas was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024, at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Stuart Carter officiated the service.

Interment followed in Mount Tabor Cemetery in Madisonville, Texas.

Pallbearers were Jay Newton, Josh Newton, Carl Walther, Bobby Drake, Kenneth Starns, Zane Newton, Danny Coker.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Mt. Tabor Church.
