Norman Risinger, a lifelong resident of Madisonville, passed away peacefully the evening of March 10, 2021 at the age of eighty years. Norman was born May 19, 1940 in Madisonville, Texas to parents, Carl & Era (Colwell) Risinger.

Jimmie Louise (Tims) Vernon; 76 years and 7 days of College Station, TX; passed away at her home on Thursday; March 11, 2021. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. on Wednesday; March 17, 2021 at Willowhole Chapel in North Zulch, TX with the burial to follow at Willowhole Cemetery. Donald Wells will officiate. The visitation is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. prior to the service.

Lewis Harold Akers was born on July 19, 1945 in Artesia, New Mexico to Leonard and Helen Akers. He graduated from Floyd High School in Floyd, New Mexico, in 1963, and then Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, New Mexico. After serving two years in the Marines, he was honorably discharged when it was decided Lewis was too tall for the duties required.

Homegoing services for Betty Gene Ford, 68, were held 11 a.m., Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Pastor D.F. Johnson officiated the service. She was laid to rest in West End Cemetery, Madisonville, Texas.

Funeral services for Dorothy Yaws, 83, were held 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Rev. Alvin Quick officiated the service. Interment followed in Hopewell Cemetery, Normangee, Texas.

Graveside services for Andy Koenning, 98, were held 10 A.M.. Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Williamson Cemetery on the family property near North Zulch.

Services for Mrs. Norma Earl Russell were held at 10 a.m., Friday, March 5, 2021 at Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas. Pastor Munroe Rice of Cross Baptist Church officiated the service.
