The Museum’s new exhibit focused on schools here is still incomplete, but it’s better than it was last week. This past Saturday I moved something special in the Museum window closest to the door. It’s a rendition of the Madisonville High School building that closed in the summer of 1969. I hope some of you will enjoy it.

The Texas Education Agency’s annual report was released last week. It indicates per-student funding in the 2021-2022 school year averaged $14,928 per student, up 42% since 2011.

The U.S. Justice Department issued a scathing report late last week on the May 4, 2022, mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, the Austin American-Statesman reported.
