The Madisonville Junior High School junior varsity cheerleading squad members celebrate their three first-place wins at the UCA cheerleading camp. The Mustangs swept the Small JV Division, taking home trophies for Camp Routine, Cheer (Spirit Routine), and Overall Spirit Routine. The Madisonville Youth Football and Cheer program started its Football Condi tioning Camp on Monday, July 21. Young boys took to the practice field behind Madisonville Junior High to run drills with coaches during the first day of the camp. Regular practice for the season starts on Monday, July 28.
FC Mustangs and Madisonville High School players gather after a summer workout at the soccer fields at Lake Madison Park. The club is hosting high school group workouts at 7:15 p.m. on Mondays throughout the summer. Drop-ins are welcome for all sessions.
Madisonville Little League's Major and Minor All-Star teams finished their tournament seasons last month. Neither team won their tournaments, but officials said they played hard throughout the competition.
