Severe storms damage roads

Heavy rains and severe storms damaged roads and caused flooding in Madison County over the weekend. Some areas received up to six inches of rain. The rain washed out roads and closed schools on Monday, April 29 The Crabb’s Prairie Volunteer Fire Department said Farm to Market Road 2989 near the Madison-Walker County line was utterly washed out. It left a 30-foot wide, 20-foot deep hole. TxDOT is working to repair the damage. The road is still closed.
