Wilmer Lee Lawson, age 78, of North Zulch, Texas passed away on July 23, 2023 in Houston, Texas. He was born on November 12, 1944 in Freeport, Texas to W.A. “Buster” and Corine (Glass) Lawson. Wilmer, also known as “PaPa,” doted on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He followed his granddaughters from softball games to stock shows. Wilmer loved taking care of his cows, maintaining his yard and gardening to perfection.

John Adrian Mock, age 86, passed away July 16, 2023, in Boerne, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 7, 1936, to John Eugene Mock and Mary Mattern Mock in Houston, Texas. John attended school in Houston, Texas, and graduated from Reagan High School. Following high school, John attended the University of Houston and served in the Air National Guard of Texas.

Carolyn Jo Warren, known to many as “Dody,” age 80, peacefully passed away on July 5, 2023, while in the hospital in Houston, Texas. She was born on September 28, 1943, in Houston, Texas, to John and Iva Mae (Castleberry) Phillips and chose to make a life there for many years until moving to Madisonville, where she resided until her death.

Her life will be celebrated at 11AM on Thursday; July 20, 2023 at University Heights Baptist Church in Huntsville, TX with Bro. Richard Rogers officiating. The visitation is scheduled to begin at 10AM prior to the service and the burial will follow at Bedias Baptist Cemetery in Bedias, TX.
