Billie Culp, 89, of Madisonville, Texas, passed away January 5, 2021 at his home in Madisonville. Funeral services were held 4 P.M., Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas with Jon Stevens officiating. Interment followed in High Prairie Cemetery.

MARTHA MCADAMS CADE FETTERMAN

Martha McAdams Cade Fetterman (95), died December 10, 2020 in Helotes, Bexar County, Texas. She was born December 3, 1925 in Huntsville, Walker County, Texas to William Floyd McAdams and wife, Bethel Cook McAdams. A graduate of Sam Houston University, she taught business subjects at La Porte High School for 30 years. Martha lived 40 years in Clear Lake City and was a member of House of Prayer Lutheran Church and a past matron of the La Porte Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of The Ladies Reading Club of La Porte and a life member of the San Jacinto District of the Texas Federation of Women’s Clubs. She actively pursued a hobby of genealogy and was a member of the Captain John McAdams Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Bluebonnet Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. In later life, Martha moved to Kingwood, Texas, and became a member of the Kingwood Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Raymond Fetterman, Sr. She is survived by her daughter Ellen Cade Edwards and husband Eddy Edwards, her son Edward Jackson Cade, Jr. and wife Paula Whitney Cade, her daughter Terri Fetterman Harrell and husband James Harrell; grandchildren Cade Seimers, Laurie Collins, Lloyd Edwards, Amy Cade Mantooth, Alan Cade, Cody Harrell, and Kathryn Harrell Slosarek; great grandchildren Allison, Ashlynn, Kevin, Kaiden, and Noah Mantooth, Bodhi and Jaxon Collins, and Mabel Slosarek.

LEAPING INTO DISTRICT

Freshman Jeramiah Burns led the Mustangs with 18 points and eight rebounds in a 62-44 non-district win over Navasota Friday at MHS, their fourth straight victory. The Mustangs opened district play at home against Robinson Tuesday and will travel to China Spring Friday.
