Zachary Rebstock took 6th place at the Vegas Shoot, took 1st at his college shoot, and 3rd at the NFAA Indoor Nationals. He is a sniper with a bow, a USA Archery Level 2 certified archery coach, and about to graduate with an Associate of Science in Outfitter and Wildlife Management.

Cheerleaders Zoee Newton and Jaylen Downard signed to colleges on Tuesday, March 28, at the Madisonville High School Competition gym. Newton has signed onto Blinn College for Dance but maintained excitement over majoring in psychology, stating that she is going for her doctorate.

Last year, Normangee State Bank announced that they would be opening a bank in Madisonville. On Thursday, March 23, officials from the bank and the City made the official ground-breaking ceremony at the property at 208 Collard St. Normangee State Bank has been locally owned since 1967 after four businessmen purchased it; Percy Westmoreland, Mac L. Bennett Jr, Royce Shaw, and Doyle Reed.

On February 25th, the MIDWAY VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT held their 31st Annual 'PO BOY' Steak Dinner & Dance fundraiser. The annual event kicked off at 4:30pm and continued through the evening with approximately threehundred twenty-five 24oz T-bone steaks being served. LIVE music was provided by Logan Beard. Miss Teen Madison County Zailey Crocker greeted attendees and volunteered throughout the evening.
