The following persons were arrested or booked into the Madison County jail on Sunday, April 14 through Sunday, April 21. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
At the Little Dribbers National Tournament in Mexia, the Madisonville Little Dribblers had an impressive showing through Thursday, April 4, and Saturday, April 6. The Little Dribbers organization in Madisonville took six teams, with 72 players, to the tournament, and three teams placed in the top three spots.

BEDIAS — The Bedias community met April 6 to break ground on a community garden that will help fill a need locally. Grimes County Health Resource Center Director Lara Meece founded the garden.

The City of Madisonville seeks an applicant to serve on the Planning and Zoning Commission. The commission is an advisory board consisting of five members, serving 4-year terms, responsible for making recommendations to city staff and the City Council.
