Baseball Closing Ceremonies Set

Baseball and softball players in Madison County will gather at the end of May to celebrate the end of their season with closing ceremonies. Each division will hold its own ceremony after the final game.

Conservation Board Hears Student Speaker

The Bedias Creek Soil and Water Conservation District board met Monday, May 5 at Living Truth Church instead of Madisonville City Hall. The board celebrated Vice Chairman Stephen Petri’s 60th birthday before starting their meeting.
MCISD campuses earn national honor

All four Madisonville Consolidated Independent School District campuses have earned recognition as Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase Schools for the 2024-2025 school year. The prestigious designation honors schools that create positive learning environments through relationship building and developing meaningful connections with students.
‘Tomorrow’ Delayed

A storm forced the cancellation of Madisonville High School’s final “Annie” performance scheduled for Friday, May 2. The theater department will announce a new date for the final show on their Facebook page, Stangs On Stage.
